All persons attending a short-term outreach trip must be at least 18 years of age.
All persons attending a In It For The Cause Foundation trip will be required to sign a release of liability, photo release, and release for emergency medical treatment. Refusal to do so will preclude you from attending.
Criminal Background Check
In the interest in protecting any children whom we might be serving, In It For The Cause Foundation conducts criminal background checks on all persons attending trips, looking specifically for sexual convictions and or any convictions involving minors. All participants must provide us with their social security number and release for this purpose at least thirty (30) days prior to the above mentioned departure date.
The person traveling will need a passport that is valid for 6 months past your date of departure. They must also have at least three (3) blank pages in your passport at the time of departure. They need to be up to date on all routine vaccinations before traveling.
If you do not already have a passport, apply for one immediately. The most current information on obtaining a passport can be found at the State Department website (http://travel.state.gov/passport). There you can apply for a passport, update information, or renew an expired passport. Your passport must be valid for 6 months past your date of departure. You must also have at least three (3) blank pages in your passport at the time of departure. Upon receiving your passport, make one copy for yourself, and one for In It For The Cause Foundation.
Be up to date on all routine vaccinations before traveling. Consult your doctor concerning those recommended immunizations. We recommend Passport Health (www.passporthealthaz.com) for travel vaccines not covered by your insurance or administered by your primary care physician. Vaccines need to be administered at least two (2) weeks prior to departure in order for your body to have maximum immunity. Any prescription or over the counter medication that is brought with you must be stored in it’s original container. Prescriptions must be in your name. Ask your doctor for a prescription for Ciprofloxacin, which can be used to treat most lower intestinal infections.
Tickets and Insurance
Your airline ticket and travel insurance will be purchased for you. An itinerary will be forwarded to you as soon as your ticket has been purchased.
The cost of the trip includes all travel, emergency travel insurance, meals, housing and transportation while in country. Items that are not included in the cost are passport fees, vaccine costs, personal souvenirs, personal items, snacks, and meals in the airport. The timing and receipt of funds is important because during the preparation period airline tickets will be purchased..
